Content: We discussed the amounts spent on groceries (handout 2 of the poverty project) and the nutritional value of the meals (handout 3). Handout 4 (the ideal/desired monthly/yearly budget) was distributed and instructions were given. We also watched more of the Oprah special report video on poverty in America.

- Read 5 articles (distributed in class today) for Thursday, March 6
- Work on Social Justice third quarter project - due March 12, 14, or 18
