Content: We began with a 'Parish Priority' Exercise which asked the students to pretend they were members of a parish council that had money to fund four of seven available programs/projects. After they made their individual selections, they were put into small groups and asked to come to a group consensus. We then discussed each group's decisions. This concluded our church models chapter; we then began chapter 2 in the text and took a few notes on Peter and Paul. We concluded by returning to the small groups students were in at the beginning of class; each group was then assigned a Scripture passage from Acts of the Apostles. After reading the passage, the group practiced acting out these scenes. They will perform them on Friday, September 14. Chapter one tests will be returned next class.
Homework:
- Complete the 15 questions handed out that go with Acts 1, 2, and 3-5, for Friday, September 14.
- Change project due Tuesday, September 18
